TOP 5 BOARD GAMES FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG KIDS, a Gift Guide and Toy Review – December 7, 2016

Instead of our normal vlog today, we decided to do a gift guide. With Christmas right around the corner, here are some great gift ideas for families with young kids.

Join Ellie and Patrick as they do a little Toy Review on our favorite board games to play as a family.

Our family loves these games and we are so excited to share them with you. This isn’t your grandma’s list of good board games. These games are new, exciting, and really teach kids to use their brain. These are all appropriate for ages 3+ and require hardly any reading.

I’ve never heard of any of these games. I think our kids would really like the Chicken Cha Cha Cha!

Hi! Nice video. Really cool. I also play a lot of board games with my son. I will pick up some of your suggestions and I’ll leave a couple for you: Junior Carcassone is a great game, very simple but challenging to both kids and adults. Crazy coconuts is huge fun. And my son still likes to play The Orchard from Haba (he began to play it at 2 yo) , Knuckling knights by Haba (I don’t like this one too much but he does) and Felix Flosse from Haba too.

Which is better: Tsuro or Labyrinth? I have played both and I think that Labyrinth is better but I would like a second opinion.

We would recommend checking out Ravensburger ‘Enchanted forest’. I believe we received it before our son was 5 and he was able to play it. It’s fun for kids and adults alike!
